In consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Barbados Jewish Community has decided to continue hosting its Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat service on-line until further notice. If you would like to join us on-line, please e-mail bjc@jewishbarbados.org to request the weekly meeting code. If you already receive the community’s weekly mailing, the meeting code is included in that communication.
We will continue to post information about the weekly Torah Reading (parsha) as well as other communal messages and updates.
Because the Sabbath this week coincides with the major festival of Sukkot, the parsha this week is not part of the chronological cycle, but is a special selection from the book of Leviticus that is read specifically on the holiday of Sukkot: Va’Yikra 22:26 – 23:44
