In consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Barbados Jewish Community has decided to continue hosting its Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat service on-line until further notice. If you would like to join us on-line, please e-mail bjc@jewishbarbados.org to request the weekly meeting code. If you already receive the community’s weekly mailing, the meeting code is included in that communication.
We will continue to post information about the weekly Torah Reading (parsha) as well as other communal messages and updates.
Shabbat this week falls on the final two days of the Sukkot Festival: Shemini Atzeret, which coincides directly with Shabbat, and Simkhat Torah, which begins Saturday evening at sundown and ends Sunday evening. Additional info from My Jewish Learning.
The parsha this week is: V’zot Ha’Bracha, from the book of Deuteronomy (D’varim 33:1 – 34:12)
