The Barbados Jewish Community (BJC) is pleased to welcome back Rabbi Thomas Salamon and his wife Renee to the island.
This is the second winter season the Salamons have joined us as guests of the BJC. They have been enthusiastic supporters of our effort to maintain modern Jewish life here in our little slice of paradise, and have scheduled numerous programs tailored to our unique island circumstances. Please check the EVENTS section of this web site regularly for updated information about: Hannukah candlelighting services, Hebrew language courses, Siddur (prayerbook) instruction, weekly Torah study, lectures, and other initiatives organized by Rabbi Thomas and Renee during their stay here (through mid-March). Of course please continue to join us for our weekly Kabbalat Shabbat services, which will shift to the downtown Nidhe Israel Synagogue beginning Friday, December December 13.
