President’s Message – April 9

The word of the week:
זכרונו לברכה

Blessed Memory

Dear all,

Yesterday was Yom Ha-Shoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. I am including this link to a powerful program from the Simon Wiesenthal Center & Museum of Tolerance 2021 SWC Yom Hashoah Commemoration.  If you need to copy-and-paste into your browser: https://youtu.be/wBwr4jfJkMM )

Please take the time to stop and remember the six million Jews who were murdered as a result of hatred and antisemitism. In remembering them, we commit ourselves to never forget and to ensure this NEVER happens again.   “Hope Lives When People Remember.” –Simon Weisenthal.”
During tonight’s service we will say a community kaddish in their blessed memory.

Please join us next Friday at Nidhe Israel Synagogue (in-person as well as on Zoom) as we commemorate Yom Ha’azmaut Israeli Independence Day.
