President’s Message – December 17

Word of the week:

Dear All,
I was sent this video by a member of our community. It is long, but it is an extremely powerful story of “Dr. Bernd Wollschlaeger, author of the book “A German Life: Against All Odds Change is Possible”. In it he “describes his struggle growing up in Germany in the shadow of his Father, a highly decorated WWII tank commander and Nazi officer. He eventually converted to Judaism, emigrated to Israel and served in the Israel Defense Forces as a Medical Officer. Dr. Wollschlarger was the Guest Speaker at the 21st Annual Tribute Dinner, held on November 19, 2013 at the Old Westbury Hebrew Congregation”.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSEI5sulT7Y
