Shabbat Shalom!
Today is the last day of Hanukkah. Last night Scott and I attended a Hanukkah lighting ceremony at the Hilton sponsored by the Chabad. It was a fun event with latkes and donuts and lots of new faces. Rabbi Eli spoke about the importance of lighting candles to remove the darkness in our world. He emphasized that the more darkness that exists in the world, the more light we need to create. I agree with this. I also believe that we can create light through our hearts and minds. Through intention, we can choose to place our focus on either the positive or the negative.
English philosopher James Allen wrote: “As a man thinks, so he is; as he continues to think, so he remains”.
Wishing you all a thoughtful…..light filled holiday! Happy Hanukkah!
