This is the time of the year when families join in heartfelt celebrations all over the world. You can feel the love in the air. It is also the time of the year when the roads are full, supermarkets are bustling, and life is oh so busy. Tomorrow our son Max, his wife Amanda and our two precious granddaughters, Sadie and Darla will fly to Barbados to spend a week with us. That makes it the very BEST time of the year for us!
For all of you who are traveling, visiting, or gathering with friends and family, we wish you love, happiness, and GOOD health always. Stay safe everyone and enjoy these precious moments!
On behalf of the Jewish community, we extend our sincere condolences to the family of Lorraine Dubofsky Haynes who passed on Monday, December 20th. She will be buried next week at Nidhe Israel cemetery ( we will post time once it is confirmed) . “Hamakom y’nachem etchem b’toch sh’ar availai tziyon ee yerushalayim.” May God comfort you among all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
Our next in-person service will be held on December 31st at Nidhe Israel Synagogue at 6:30PM. We have almost reached our maximum capacity so If you would like to attend, please contact Neal Rechtman at BJC@jewishbarbados.org. As you know all COVID protocols on attendance remain in effect.
