Dear all,
Though real travelling is not yet easy for most of us, I am very pleased to share with you a virtual opportunity for you to visit the British Museum in London!
Through the generosity of a supporter of the CJC, we are able to offer all members outside the UK, and all in the comfort of their own homes, the opportunity – FOR FREE! – to join the London School of Jewish Studies (LSJS) on their highly acclaimed visits to the British Museum, which take a unique perspective on the British Museum’s unparalleled collection; the first visit relates to Purim and then, a few weeks later, another session is angled towards Pesach. (Just think of all that lovely Egyptian stuff!)
To be able to access such sessions free is a remarkable privilege.
Please find attached instructions as to how anyone interested should go about claiming their free places.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Purim starts the evening of March 16th. We will hold a service and a small Purim party starting at 6:30 PM so please put on your costumes and join us for Hamantaschen. In particular we encourage all member and visitors with children to join us for the happy occasion.
The AGM is scheduled for Sunday March 27th at 11:00 AM. Please make sure and have your dues up to date. This is an election year, so anyone interested in running for the executive committee please email bjc@jewishbarbados.org
A letter including last year’s minutes will be sent to all members in good standing.
IN PERSON SERVICES:
In person services will be held this week on Friday, February 25th at Nidhe Israel synagogue (as well as on ZOOM). Services begin promptly at 6:30pm (this is currently 5:30pm EDT). Please email bjc@jewishbarbados.org if you plan to attend in person.
