Shabbat Shalom!
The word of the week:
Yesterday evening our Purim holiday service was led by Micah Rubin and his daughter “Queen” Elsa via ZOOM. It was so much fun to see the little ones dressed up and ready to make some noise. Our sincere thanks go out to Micah who volunteered to lead the service for the community.
One thing ZOOM has really taught me is that even though there may be many miles between us, we are still connected. Yes, Zoom has made it easier, but at our core, it is our traditions, our celebrations and our heartfelt prayers that unite us. I feel very blessed to be a part of this small community with a big heart.
Here is an interesting article about the origins of Hamantaschen from My Jewish Learning: (please copy and paste in your browser to read — myjewishlearning.com/article/why-do-jews-eat-hamantaschen-on-purim/utm_source=mjl_maropost&utm_campaign=MJL&utm_medium=email)
Scott sent in our community Passover order yesterday. We will notify you when the items arrive.
