President’s Message – January 1

Shabbat Shalom!

2020 has been a devastating year for many people around the world. Facing a global pandemic has reshaped our reality and forced us to look at life differently. We have sought wisdom in our faith and found joy in simply staying connected with friends and family (even if not in person). Socrates said, “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” This year has brought a focus to the many aspects of our life that we need to build anew. Scott and I would like to extend to all of you a Happy and Healthy NEW Year!

Unfortunately due to the latest development in Barbados, we will not be holding services at Nidhe Israel tonight, but will once again return to our ZOOM service at 6:30pm . Please click Join Zoom Meeting to attend and then type in the Passcode: 181818

The community wishes to extend our sincere condolences to Michal, Jacob, Clemy, Noy and Shelly Hassid on the passing of Michal’s father Eliyahu (Eli) Cohen this past week.  Our hearts go out to all of you and we pray that your memories will comfort you.

Mazel Tov to the Bernstein family on the birth of Sean and Tara’s new son Jacob Bernstein born on October 31st. May Jacob continue to grow strong, healthy and happy.
