Shabbat Shalom
“In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity.” – Albert Einstein
This past Sunday, I had the greatest joy to ZOOM celebrate my mom’s 90th birthday. It was also a bit sad for me too, as we had been planning a big celebration with all of family being together for this momentous occasion. However, this is the new reality we now live in. In situations like this I often ask myself…what is the lesson here?
For me, it is that physical distance does not hold the same meaning that it has before. If we truly focus on the loving connection in our hearts, and show gratitude for all the blessings that we have, physical distance becomes insignificant. Don’t get me wrong… hugging my mom would have felt so good, but gratitude and love is an incredible substitute.
I wish all of you a week filled with love, special connections and many opportunities! AND to all our Dads, Happy Father’s Day!
This evening we have the great pleasure of having Hal Blumenfeld from White Plains, New York, leading our Shabbat service. See you tonight on Zoom Friday night services, 6:30 pm. The Zoom meeting code for our services is: 95083597091
