The word of the week:
We just received word that our Barbados COVID cases are on the decrease and that from Monday we can start to reopen the Island. What wonderful news! Dayenu! Enough of COVID and enough of shutdowns. I know we are not back to normal, but once we all play our part, we can begin to traverse our new landscape. I imagine this is how the Israelites must have felt when they left Egypt. They didn’t know what the future held, but they knew they had to continue onward and to trust their leaders and their G-d.
Steven Altman represented the community in a multi-faith service held this past Sunday by Canon Noel Burke for the month of the Disabled.
Our Passover goods have arrived and will be cleared from the port this weekend. They can be collected from Sheraton Mall office (437.0970 ext.1) from Tuesday. We will call you with the amount due so that you can have it in an envelope. Please make sure and follow all COVID protocols when collecting. We also brought in Yahrtzeit candles. If you need one for Pesach it is our gift to you. For all additional candles needed it will be $4.00 each.
For those of you preparing for your Seder this article might be very helpful.
We would like to thank you all for your wonderful response to our Tzedekah 2X Match Food Drive. We exceeded our expectations with donations over $5000. We will therefore be donating over $10,000 to charities who feed the poor of Barbados. We will confirm the charities and amounts donated in next week’s newsletter.
We will be holding ZOOM services this evening, March 12th, 2021 at 6:30pm. Please click the link below to join us. For the passcode please email email@example.com.
