Dear BJC Members and Guests,
Last week we mentioned that we could resume holding Shabbat services at synagogue. After consultation with several members and an EC meeting we decided to continue our Zoom Shabbat services as we have done for the last 7 weeks (the first was on April 3 rd). Here is the link to join tonight’s Shabbat service on Zoom. Just click on it and follow the instructions.
When | from 6:30pm to 7:30pm on Friday May 22 nd the (Barbados time) |
Where | https://zoom.us/j/95083597091 (map) |
You can down load the Sim Shalom Siddur that we use by clicking on

FYI: Counting of the Omer is found on page 55 of our Siddur.
*** Here are a few zoom best practices: When the service begins please mute your microphone, persons who are invited to do an English reading should unmute during the reading & mute again when finished. Then at the end of the service unmute as we all join (with soft voices) to chant Shalom Aleikhem and then we will close the service with fellowship.***
Rabbi Thomas’s Devar Torah will be emailed to you this week as well as posted on the BJC website, but you can also click on this link and listen to his commentary rather than reading it.
