President’s Message – October 9

Both Scott and I have a very exciting weekend coming up. Not only is it the last night of Sukkot, but also it is also Simchat Torah and Shemini Atzeret.  Simchat Torah is the celebration that marks the end of the annual Torah readings and the beginning of a new cycle. It is symbolic of the circle of life. It happens to also be the wedding day of our daughter Arel to James Edghill. Making it even more meaningful is that my mom from New Jersey is here for this mitzvah! As we welcome James into our family, we also welcome his entire family and their traditions. These new bonds of love and understanding enrich our lives and create new beginnings for us all.
